PEO Canada is partnering with our client, a food processing leader, in the search for a Finance & Customer Service Coordinator to add to their team.
Description
The position is responsible for the management of daily financial operations including reporting, analyzing and communication the financial position of the company in a timely and accurate manner. The position is also responsible for coordinating customer sales order, shipping and invoice processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electronic Billing, tax calculation and electronic Accounting.
- Prepare and review revenues, expense and payroll entries, invoices and other accounting documents.
- Liaises regularly with bankers, auditors, debtors and creditors.
- Prepares regular financial and statistical reports for various business units and government bodies including month ends report and current financial positioning and statements.
- Reconciling and controlling inter-company accounts, general ledger, etc, resolving all accounting discrepancies.
- Primary responsibility for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Ensures the correct and effective maintenance of client’s financial accounting and general ledge system.
- Ensures the adequacy of the accounting system as the basis for reporting to management.
- Ensure invoices are raised and processed accurately within the required timeframes (i.e. e-mailed to customer same day as Delivery Note).
- Make proactive calls to customers to assess customer satisfaction and promote optimal spares inventory holdings are established\maintained.
- Provide accurate, timely, customer focused administration of spares orders to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Ensure all requirements for customer shipments are effected in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Required Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required and a CPA preferred
- Tax experience is necessary
- Understanding of credit management is advantageous
- Exposure to the manufacturing industry is essential
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards
- Computer literacy in MS Word & Excel
- Knowledge in ERP, Dynamics, SAP
