Benefits Specialist – PEO Canada

PEO Canada is an employee management company with over 20 years of experience in the industry. We are an outsource partner providing payroll, benefits, human resources and workers compensation administrative services to clients across Canada. Our clients work in a variety of industries including Renewable Energy, Information Technology, Oil and Gas Service, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Finance, Not-for-Profit etc.
This is an ideal position for someone who is looking to expand the breadth of their Group Benefits knowledge, enjoys working in a busy team environment and is able to think outside of the box. This individual must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, external employees and co-workers in order to promote consistent quality service across all service offerings.

Description

Duties include but are not limited to:

o Provide guidance to clients in a variety of ways such as decision making on policies and general inquiries.

o Responding to client/stakeholder/employee questions and concerns that are received via e-mail or phone regarding all aspects of benefits.

o Client consultation meetings and presentation of benefit/retirement program solutions.

o Facilitating group benefit and retirement savings meetings and education sessions for employees.

o Administration and facilitation of disability, critical illness and life insurance claims

o Administration and application of premium deductions and taxable benefits – some previous payroll experience is preferred.

o Group benefit and retirement savings program enrolment, administration and education

o Ensuring employee/employer contributions and remittances are processed accurately

o Administering the claims process for medical, dental coverage, life insurance, disability, critical illness and Provincial Health Care.

o Administering and the reconciliation of monthly benefit, provincial health care, and health care spending accounts.

o Experience with Group Net, or another online benefits program is an asset.

Required Skills

Our business is based on the relationships we build with our clients and external employees. If you have excellent, proven, communication and client service skills with great attention to detail and are able to multi-task, we welcome your interest in this position.

We are looking for candidates that have a minimum of 5 years in a group benefit focused position. CEBS or other benefits administration courses and previous payroll experience would be an asset. Bilingual French/English language is an asset.
