PEO Canada is partnering with our client in the Consumer Product Goods industry to hire an Assistant Marketing Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a deep understanding of brand building and harness your strategic and executional prowess.

Description

Key Position Responsibilities:

• Provide fact-based recommendations to support consumer and customer initiatives that drive portfolio profitability and growth.
• Support the annual planning process, reviewing performance as well as consumer & category dynamics to establish 3 Year and 18 month plans for the brands in Canada.
• Develop and foster a collaborative working relationship with traditional cross functional areas: Sales, Demand Planning, product development; and areas unique to this category: MSRU, Medical Sales, and CRM.
• Manage vendor relationships and flawless execution of key communication projects including social media, search, ecomm, packaging, and consumer promotions.
• Gather, process, and interpret multiple sources of data (including Nielsen, Customer POS, Consumer Research, Financials etc.) to provide a complete understanding of category dynamics and business health.
• Support the team in improving the return-on-investment year over year and tracking marketing expenses.
• Harness a diverse range of perspectives and experiences.

Required Skills

This role requires a candidate with a passion for marketing and the determination to stretch your capabilities and make your mark! Other qualifications are:

• A minimum of 2 years of marketing or similar experience; CPG experience is strongly preferred.
• An understanding of commercialization process within CPG with ability to leverage their processes, resources, and environment.
• Be self-motivated, results focused with strong analytical skills and curiosity.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and the curiosity to be an innovative thinker
• A passion to build and grow brands, with ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge status quo.
• Must be able to manage change and evolve in a fast-paced dynamic and matrix environment.
• Proficient computer literacy: You love working in Excel, and know MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other MS applications.
• Proficient in Nielsen
• University degree in Business or Marketing, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
