Riley is the director of a human resources program for an American company that specializes in providing advanced solutions for the utilities industry. He provides full HR consulting support to the company’s five divisions; four of them are based in the U.S. and one is in Canada.
In 2007, the company decided to downsize its Canadian branch. Riley needed to provide the branch’s small group of Canadian employees with sufficient HR consulting support after the restructuring. He decided to outsource employer services to PEO Canada because it offered a full complement of services in all eight HR areas including recruitment, compensation, payroll, safety and training, and benefits.
PEO Canada introduced a payroll data and benefits system that enabled the company to continue to record and collect employee data throughout the restructuring. As the company’s Canadian HR consulting partner, PEO Canada helped it deal with Bill 168 and serves as its expert on Canada’s practices and regulations. PEO Canada has also offered the employees significantly discounted services and provided new-hire orientation services on the company’s behalf.
As a full-service single-source HR solution, PEO Canada enables the company to provide a high standard of HR service to all five of its divisions equally.
